If there is a community that  reconnects its name to animals, it is surely Morsan des Ocjis, that is Morsano of the geese. The appellation derives from the fact that breeding of this animal was very common in the area because of the abundance of water. The palmiped was for centuries also the money of exchange to pay the tithe at the nearby church in Cordovado. In November the traditional Goose festival takes place.
