The story of the “Federico Angelica” Group boasts very ancient origins. Already two centuries ago in the small Friulian village the youngsters of Aviano showed off in local costumes at private parties – many of them weddings – and public shows in honour of the Hapsburg emperors even though the constitution of an organised group only goes back to the 19th century. In 1969 the group founded the Folklore Review now Festival Internazionale with wide participation, especially from the countries of the East.
